This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions purchased through The Book Summaries ("Service"). All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), our Merchant of Record.
1. Satisfaction Guarantee
We want you to be completely satisfied with your subscription. If you are not satisfied for any reason, we offer a full refund within fourteen (14) days of your initial subscription purchase — no questions asked.
2. Eligibility for Refund
2.1 Eligible for Refund
- First-time subscription purchases within fourteen (14) days of the initial transaction date.
- Charges resulting from a technical error or billing discrepancy on our part.
- Duplicate charges for the same billing period.
2.2 Not Eligible for Refund
- Subscription renewal charges, unless a cancellation request was submitted prior to the renewal date and was not processed due to a system error.
- Partial billing periods — if you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access through the end of the paid period, but no pro-rata refund is provided.
- Refund requests submitted more than fourteen (14) days after the initial purchase.
- Accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Service.
3. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us with the following information:
- The email address associated with your account;
- The approximate date of the charge;
- The reason for your refund request (optional, but helpful for improving our Service).
Submit your request via email to hello@thebooksummaries.com. We aim to acknowledge all refund requests within two (2) business days.
4. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed by Paddle and typically appear on your statement within five (5) to ten (10) business days, depending on your payment provider. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. We are unable to issue refunds to alternative payment methods.
5. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through one of the following methods:
- Customer Portal: Access your subscription management page through the link provided in your purchase confirmation email from Paddle.
- Email: Contact us at hello@thebooksummaries.com and we will process your cancellation promptly.
Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged for subsequent periods. No further action is required on your part.
6. Price Disputes
If you believe you have been charged an incorrect amount, please contact us within thirty (30) days of the charge. We will investigate the matter and, if a billing error is confirmed, issue a correction or refund as appropriate.
7. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last revised" date. Material changes will be communicated in advance via email or through a notice on the Service. The refund policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction.
